Vegetable Curry Puffs

Ingredients:

2 medium size Potatoes   
1 medium size Onion chopped
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1/4 tsp Turmeric
5 Curry leaves 
6 Green Chillies chopped (according to spicy you prefer)
2 Pastry sheets (available in the general stores)
Salt (according to taste)
4 tsp Oil

Preparation time: 40 minutes

Serves : 4

Preparation Method:

1) Boil the potatoes in a cooker and peel off the cover. Smash it into very small cubes.
2) In a pan heat oil. Now add cumin seeds and wait until they splutter then add chopped onion to the pan. Cook it for about 5 minutes until they turn light brown in color.
3) Add curry leaves, chopped green chillies and turmeric powder. Mix well and now add on the smashed potatoes along with salt and stir until they are mixed evenly.
4) Take the pastry sheets and cut into the size you wish. Now place the curry prepared in the sheet and close it well on all sides.
5) Pre-heat the oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit. Place the puffs in a non-stick tray.
6) Bake it for 10 minutes, until the sheet turns light brown in color.
7) Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

 
Note: If you wish to prepare Egg Puffs, just boil the eggs, remove the shell. Cut the boiled eggs to equal parts, add on some salt and pepper according to taste and place them in the pastry sheets. Bake them at 400 degree Fahrenheit. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
